NOTE:  You must have version 5.0 or higher of Internet Explorer with 128-bit encryption.  All other applications must be closed during the installation process.

Loading ICA Client 

1.      Open Internet Explorer.  You can double click the icon on your desktop or click on Start > Programs > Internet Explorer

2.      In Internet Explorer enter the following address in the address field:

https://www.compserv.sos.state.mn.us/NFuse15/login.htm.  Hit enter.  You should see the message saying that you are about to view pages over a secure connection.  Click OK.  The purpose of this is to let users know that they are entering a secure site where the data in encrypted and more difficult for someone to hack into.

3.      The Citrix Client for Win 32 opens up and click the link entitled Install Citrix

4.      Choose the option of “run this program from its current location” and click ok.

5.      Click yes at the do you want to install Citrix for Win 32.

6.      At the welcome to the InstallShield Wizard window, click next.

7.      At the welcome to the ICA Client Setup program window, click next.

8.      Click yes at the Citrix License Agreement window.

9.      Click next at the Choose Destination Location window.

10.  At the select program folders window, in the program folders line, you should have Citrix ICA Client.  And in the existing folders line, you should have 3COM Utilites.  Click next.

11.  At the ICA Client Name Window, in the ClientName line, you should have the name of your PC.  Click next.

12.  At the desired folders window, you should have NO selected and click next.

13.  Click OK at the Installation or update of the Citrix ICA Client is complete message.

14.  The next screen will be a smaller screen which is entitled ICA Client Window, click close window.

15.  The next screen is the actual sign-on screen for Citrix Nfuse.  Simply enter in your username, password and domain.  The username and password are the ones issued by OSS for access to this application.  They are not the same login and passwords used to gain access to your network.  The domain you need to enter is ossdomain.  Click login.

 

Instructions for Launching the VEMS-VR Application.

The purpose of this procedure is to download the application and necessary files to the users computer. 

Note:  You need a valid NT login and password issued by the OSS to gain access to the VEMS-VR application. This login and password are NOT the same as your VR MAPPER login and passwords.

  1. Launch Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher w/128-bit encryption.
  2. Type in the following URL: https://www.compserv.sos.state.mn.us/NFuse15/login.htm.  This will bring you to the Nfuse login webpage.
  3. Logon to the server.

  1. Click the VEMS-VR Pilot Testing Icon. 
  2. The application may take 30 to 95 seconds to initialize and display on your monitor.  This is understandable considering the application is actually running on a server in the SOS computer room in St. Paul.
